What to Expect…
Dog Boarding Sausalito is a small, home-based boarding service run by me — Sid. One person, one home, never more than three dogs at a time.
This is intentional. The intimacy is the point.
What this is and what this isn't.
Most boarding options prioritize volume and convenience. This is something different: a carefully curated environment where every dog is known, the group is balanced, and the experience stays genuinely calm.
Twenty years of working with animals and people has taught me how to read a dog, their energy, their needs, their threshold. I know when a dog needs space and when they need engagement. I know how to introduce dogs thoughtfully, how to maintain a peaceful group dynamic, and how to recognize when something is off before it becomes a problem.
That expertise is what you're booking. Not just a place for your dog to stay. A person who knows what they're doing.
What your dog's stay looks like here:
A calm home environment on my houseboat, nestled in the safe harbor of the houseboat community
Undivided attention, because the group stays small by design
Daily photos and updates so you can relax fully while you're away
Gentle reinforcement of good habits when the moment calls for it
Beach outings, socialization with the houseboat community, and plenty of rest
Sunbathing on the float, where the herons hang out
A warm, layered space with more than enough spots to settle in and feel at home
Dogs who board here regularly stop being visitors. They arrive knowing where they are.
How this service works
To protect that calm, connected experience for every dog, this is a structured operation, small by design and consistent by intention.
Stays are reserved in advance and confirmed with payment in full
Drop-off and pick-up follow set windows to keep the day steady
The daily rhythm balances outings, rest, and attention
Policies apply consistently for every family, which keeps things clear and fair
A larger facility is likely a better fit if you:
Need wide or flexible arrival and departure windows
Rely on last-minute bookings or frequent schedule changes
Prefer to handle payment during or after a stay
Require drop-in style care or extended availability
This structure exists to protect the experience, for your dog and for every dog here. If it feels like a match, you and your pup will likely feel very at home.
